Cub Scouts

Cub Scouts are invited to come and work on science-related badges and electives. Badge sessions last approximately 2 1/2 hours.

Registration is now being accepted for the February 2010 date.

Morning Session: 9:00 - 11:30 AM
Ecology is a hot topic this spring at the California Science Center! During our morning session, Cub Scouts of all ages are invited to participate in nature-focused badge requirements.

Activities* will include selections from:
Water and Soil Conservation electives
Nature Crafts
Naturalist Webelo Activity Badge

Afternoon Session: 12:30 - 3:00 PM
During our afternoon session, Webelo Cub Scouts will get the chance to work on requirements from the Engineering Badge. Explore the exciting world of engineering as you construct structures of your own design!

Requirements* from the Engineering Badge:
- Talk to an engineer
- Explore electricity and how it is generated
- Design your own model bridge
- Build a catapult

*Specific activities are subject to change

Cost: $15 per scout for each session
