Scout Programs

Bring your Scouts to the California Science Center to complete science-related badges! During our Scout Days programs, scouts from all over the area work together to complete requirements for a specific badge. During the 2 1/2 hour session, scouts will be guided through the requirements for science-related badges.

Where are the programs held?
The Scout programs are held on the campus of the California Science Center in the Wallis Annenberg Building for Science Learning and Innovation. It is about a five minute walk from the main building of the Science Center, next to the Air and Space Gallery.

How many adults may come with the scouts?
There is no limit as to the number of adults that accompany the scouts to the program. Adults are free. In the case of classrooms becoming too crowded, adults may be asked to wait in the Big Lab for the duration of that particular activity.

Do we need to bring anything?
No, everything needed to complete to the requirements will be provided.

Will badges be given out after completing the session?
No. Badges will need to be ordered through the scout organizations.

How much is parking?
Parking in Exposition Park is $10 per car. Limited street parking is available around the park.

What can siblings or other family members do when the scouts are in the Big Lab?
The California Science Center will be open from 10 AM to 5 PM. As long as there is an adult to accompany any children, they are free to visit the main part of the museum.

Will a snack be provided?
No snacks will be provided, but scouts are free to bring their own snack.
