What is Science Theater on Tour?

The California Science Center’s, Science Theater on Tour outreach program is bringing the wonder and magic of a museum field trip to your school assembly, educational event, or meeting.  Help stimulate curiosity and inspire science learning, by booking one of our entertaining and engaging educational programs.  Our outreach programming is seen by over 30,000 students annually and has visited cities from Sacramento to San Diego!

Science Theater on Tour blends science learning with entertaining performances, using original sets, props, special effects, and scripts created by the California Science Center.  Our theatrical productions and presentations are an interactive and fun way for educators to fulfill state science content standards in addition to supporting art, theater arts, and other standards as well!

Current Programs

SuperKids Academy! What: Two SuperKids teach students how to make healthy choices, and together with the audience's help save the universe from the lazy effects of the BLAHs. SuperKids Academy is a fanciful and engaging way to satisfy California State science and health content needs in addition to meeting theater, art and other standards. Learn more! Outreach Van

Science Theater on Tour is now traveling in style to your school or event.  Check out the Outreach Van that wows children and adults alike, and learn how we make our cars go zoom!

Booking Information

• Online booking available through the Los Angeles County Arts Commission
• Cost: Only $595 per show and $250 for each additional show on the same date and at the same location
  (Performances more than 60 miles from the Science Center will be charged additional travel fees: 61-75 miles add $50; 76-90 miles add $100)
• All programs are available year-round.
• Science Theater on Tour travels throughout California!
