The Amgen
Center For Science Learning designs workshops to meet the
needs of teachers and schools in Southern California. Materials
and strategies provided are inquiry-based and aligned with
the California Science Content Standards. Engaging, certificated
and experienced presenters range from teachers who have done
inquiry science in their own classrooms to Science Center
personnel who are experts in the field of informal learning.
Science content and effective science teaching strategies,
based on the most current research on learning and practice
in and out of the formal classroom setting, are highlighted
and modeled for participants.
Salary
point credit and units that will help teachers meet the requirements
of the No Child Left Behind Acts can be arranged with the
University of Southern California, California State University,
Long Beach; and the University of California, Los Angeles.
