| The Science of 3-D Animation 101 |

3D Animation is used in films, on television and to create video games and now this is your chance to learn about the software, tools and science behind this exciting art form. Each student will get to work on their own Mac using software to create mini animations of their own. Each participant will get to take home their very own DVD of the work they complete in class and on the final day we will screen the completed animation projects during a film festival for parents and family members!

Continue exploring the world of 3D animation and focus on advanced techniques including character modeling, keyframe animation techniques and advanced lighting. Students will have the chance to work on one longer film project to be screened on the final day of class in a film festival for parents and family members!
*Prerequisite - Students must take The Science of 3D Animation 101 before taking this class. Students will not be able to take this class if they have not taken The Science of 3D Animation 101 (formerly known as The Science of 3D Animation) within the last year. This class is also available to 7th and 8th graders.

Gravity - it's not just a good idea, it's the LAW! Learn about today’s movers and shakers as you study Newton’s laws of motion. Our tools for this adventure will include rockets, tennis ball launchers, our 3-story drop tower, and other elements of the Big Lab. Rocket launch on the last day of class.

Want to work the night shift? Many animals are active during the day, but some only emerge when the sun sets. Why use flashlights when you have echolocation or bioluminescence? Find out how these creatures of the night hunt and protect themselves in pitch black conditions. Night owls unite!
