iPhone/iPod Touch App

Download our new Ecosystems App using your iPod Touch or iPhone. It’s free, and it’s fun. Just go to the Apple App Store and type in Ecosistema for Spanish, or Ecosystems for English, and you’ll be using the coolest technology around to learn all about our new exhibit.

Ideas for kids and families

Use the Ecosystems or Ecosistema App to plan your visit. Where will you start? How about the Extreme Zone, where you can see a flash flood in the Desert or touch a solid wall of ice while visiting the Poles? Use the App to plan your route through the exhibit and to share the excitement with your friends.

Ideas for teachers

Use the App to take a virtual tour of Ecosystems. Preview each of 11 themed areas to get great ideas for lesson plans and to prepare for your visit. Get kids thinking early about what they’ll see and do. Assign tasks. Create scavenger hunts. Your imagination and our App make a great combination.

look for this symbol.

1. Open the App.
2. Select Ecosystems Tour.
3. Select the zone you’re in.
4. Select the matching number.

If you’re not sure about something you saw, don’t worry. The App has virtually all of the content contained in the exhibit, so you can review any graphic panel no matter where you are.
