Supply Network

Every living thing takes in supplies—like food, oxygen, water and minerals—and gets rid of waste. For one-celled organisms, that's easy to do, since the supplies and waste don't have far to go. But for more complex living things, supply networks have to move supplies and waste to and from every cell. Explore and find out what keeps supplies on the move.

Exhibit Highlights
Blood and Hearts   How fast does a mouse's heart beat? How much blood is in an elephant's body? Guess and learn.

Blood Highways   Catch a ride on a red blood cell and get a tour through the human circulatory system.

Pump It Up   Pump blood to the brains inside a model of a child or a giraffe, and find out how much pressure's on!
