BODY WORLDS 3 & The Story of the Heart—

Gunther von Hagens’ BODY WORLDS 3 & The Story of the Heart makes its California premiere March 14, 2008 at the Science Center. The exhibit features more than 200 authentic human specimens including whole body plastinates not seen before, plus the debut of a special presentation on the heart.

Mummies 3D: Secrets of the Pharaohs—

Follow along as researchers and explorers piece together the archaeological and genetic clues of Egypt’s ancient mummies. These relics of the past create a window into the fascinating and mysterious world of the pharaohs. To unwrap the secret of the pharaohs is perhaps a glimpse into the future of our own civilization.

FADE: The Dark Side of Light
October 10, 2007 - May 31, 2008

The California Science Center, in collaboration with the Getty Conservation Institute, opens a new exhibit entitled FADE: The Dark Side of Light on October 10, 2007. The 1,200 sq. ft. exhibit, which blends science and art, explores the destructive effects of light exposure on priceless museum treasures and family photos. It also offers suggestions for mitigating the damage.
