"Dolphins"
Splashes Onto the Giant IMAX Screen
Beauty
and Mystery of Dolphin-Human Communication Explored
in Film Opening at the California Science Center
|
| |
|
| What: |
Dolphins
takes audiences under the water's surface for an
international romp with wild dolphins, giving viewers
a rare look at the social lives of these amazing
creatures, their remarkable intelligence and their
ability to bond with humans.
Dolphins
viewers follow marine biologist Dr. Kathleen Dudzinski
from the coral reefs of the Bahamas to the seas
of Patagonia as she and her colleagues research
the intricacies of dolphin communication. Through
the use of innovative technology and imaginitive
scientific methods, the team explores the dolphin
world in a unique and fascinating manner. A variety
of dolphins are featured in the film including Atlantic
dolphins, dusky dolphins, and the familiar bottlenose
dolphins of Flipper fame.
The
movie features the music of Grammy award-winning
artist Sting, and is narrated by actor Pierce Brosnan.
Dolphins is produced and distributed by MacGillivray
Freeman Films, the producers of Everest,
in association with the National Wildlife Federation
and with major funding provided by the National
Science Foundation and Museum Film Network.
