Feel
the Heat with Summer Lineup of Giant-Screen Films
Wild Safari 3D: A South African
Adventure, Roar: Lions of the Kalahari, and Forces
of Nature
at the California Science Center IMAX Theater |
| |
|
| What: |
Whether
movie-goers choose to explore wildlife in the sizzling
savannahs of Africa or get a closer view of a volcano’s
molten lava, they are sure to feel the heat with this
summer’s IMAX features.
Wild Safari 3D: A South African Adventure takes
the audience on a three thousand mile journey in search
for Africa’s most dangerous animals. With groundbreaking
3D technology, viewers feel as if they are in the passenger
seat of an open-air safari vehicle, just inches away
from wildlife that has only recently been brought back
from the brink of extinction.
Roar: Lions of the Kalahari carries
the audience deep into Botswana’s Kalahari Desert
where the life-and-death struggle between a real lion
king and a fierce, young contender determined to oust
him from his throne unfolds. Viewers are shaken in
their seats by one of nature’s loudest sounds – the
roars of dueling lions – delivered by the most
powerful theater sound-system in the world.
Forces of Nature shows
the awesome spectacle of volcanoes, earthquakes and
tornadoes, and the science used to predict their occurrence
in a film that was 10 years in the making.
