900 middle and senior high school students
from schools throughout the state on-hand
to present their science projects for
category recognition, as well as nearly
$40,000 in cash awards. Projects entered
at the state level have qualified by
winning in a county or regional fair. |

science fair projects in 19 categories
ranging from applied mechanics to zoology.
Students will staff their projects
and be available for interviews. Table-top
displays include live demonstrations
and research project results. Some
of the topic projects include:

Cell Phone Usage Cook Your Brain?
- Battle
of the Brands: National Brand vs.
Store Brand
- How
to Eliminate the Energy Crisis in
California
- Are
Dogs Right or Left Pawed?
