Enhancing the 3D Experience with 4D Fun

Wild Safari Family Event – June 26, 2005, 12 to 4 pm. Free activities, giveaways, games, and a showcase of live animals native to Africa highlight the opening weekend of the new IMAX film Wild Safari 3D: A South African Adventure. If you’ve always wanted to go on safari, but never had the chance, leave your passport at home and let the California Science Center bring Africa to you.

Visitors can see a full-grown lioness, courtesy of the Wildlife Waystation, from 12 to 2 pm. Lion handlers will be on site to answer questions. Other live African animals will include an African Serval, Ball Python, Emperor Scorpion, Fennec Fox and Fat Tailed Gecko (12 to 4 pm). Animal themed craft activities, face painting, and a balloon artist will be on site.

Wild Safari 3D: A South African Adventure takes the audience on a three thousand mile journey in search for Africa’s most dangerous animals. With groundbreaking 3D technology, viewers feel as if they are in the passenger seat of an open-air safari vehicle, just inches away from breathtaking wildlife. Opens June 24, 2005.
