Discoverer Members and above ($100+) are invited on an exciting adventure through the human body! Take a look at yourself from the insides out through fun hands-on activities including listening to your very own heartbeat, creating mini body models, dissecting an organ specimen (for older students) and much more. Discover what keeps your body ticking and how to keep it healthy. You’ll see your body in a whole new way!

Activities appropriate for ages 5 and up. Space is limited—Maximum of four reservations per Membership and children must be accompanied by an adult. Advance registration is required— Click here to RSVP online.

Science Matters: Explore Current Science Issues The Science and Policy of Obesity
Saturday, May 17, 2008, 1 to 3:30 p.m.
Big Lab, Wallis Annenberg Building

Speakers present the current science of obesity, describing the various ways obesity harms the body, how it affects different ethnicities and the genetic component of body weight. If obesity is so bad for us, how did it become an epidemic in the United States? What are the ways our culture and economy support obesity? In the light of this scientific and social framework, panelists discuss the ethics of different approaches to the obesity epidemic.

Get Gift Giving Down to a Science!
Remember someone special with a Gift Membership to the California Science Center. Renewing your Membership
When you renew, you will be sent a benefits package that includes parking and IMAX vouchers and a new Membercard indicating your expiration date. Please call (213) 744-7504 to renew, or visit the Membership Information Desk at the Science Center.

Member Information - Privacy Promise
From time to time the California Science Center participates in Member Name List Exchanges with other non-profit organizations for the use of mailing solicitations. Exchange agreements are done on a case by case approval and only for a one-time mailing. If you are a current member and do not want your name traded, send a message to member@cscmail.org with subject line: Privacy Promise. Please include your name and member number so that your request can be processed.
