Sid the Science Kid Day at the California Science Center
Sunday, September 26, 2010
11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Sid the Science Kid™, the award-winning PBS KIDS® television series produced by The Jim Henson Company and KCET/Los Angeles, is coming to the California Science Center on Sunday, September 26 to encourage Little Scientists to observe, explore and investigate through hands-on science experiences in the Ecosystems exhibits. The television series introduces preschoolers to the basics of science through the eyes of an enthusiastic, inquisitive young scientist named Sid the Science Kid, whose insatiable curiosity about the world around him leads him to all kinds of discoveries. During this FREE event, Little Scientists will learn about different science concepts and discover the rules of ecology, helping them understand more about some of the Earth's most fascinating ecosystems and become better stewards of the environment while journaling about the day in their Sid the Science Kid Journal.
Kids and parents will also be able to catch a sneak-peek of "Sid's Super Kick," a new episode of Sid the Science Kid in both English and Spanish, featuring live-action segments filmed at the Science Center. Ecosystems, the Science Center's newest exhibit gallery,
will be featured in the new season of Sid the Science Kid, premiering October 4 on PBS KIDS® (check local listings).
