The
robots compete in two categories: autonomous and radio-controlled.
The autonomous robots have sensors that take in information
about their surroundings, allowing them to react automatically
to the things going on around them. The radio-controlled
robots respond to commands from their human designers.
The robot version of the popular sport has been a favorite
in Japan for over 10 years.
