Mike McCorkle

Commercial Fisherman and President of the Southern California Trawlers Association

Mike McCorkle is a commercial fisherman from Santa Barbara, California and is the president of the Southern California Trawlers Association and director of the Commercial Fishermen of America. He also serves as a Board Member for the Pacific Coast Federation of Fishermen’s Association and the Institute of Fisheries Resources. McCorkle was a stakeholder in the South Coast Marine Life Protection Act project and is the fisherman port representative as well as a member of Commercial Fishermen of Santa Barbara. He has been a full time commercial fisherman in the Santa Barbara Channel for more than 50 years. He was the recipient of the “Highliner of the Year” award in 1987.
