Gary Gless

President, Citizens Coalition for a Safe Community

Gary lives in the residential community of Windsor Hills which is adjacent to the Inglewood oil field, the largest urban oilfield in the United States. As a USN Veteran his military duties were as an Aviation Electronics Technician, after military service Gary went to work in the Hollywood film industry in Special Effects and later working as a Construction Coordinator. He became an activist in 2005 when oil production increased next to his neighborhood and residents started noticing negative effects. Citizens Coalition for a Safe Community has held meetings in homes, schools and churches informing residents and addressing their concerns. Gary is also presently the President of the United Homeowners Association. He continues to work to hold the oil and gas industry accountable for its actions.
