James Harding served as Director of Power Planning
and Forecasting and later as Director of External Affairs
for Seattle City Light. He created the first energy program
in the U.S. environmental movement via his work with the
Friends of the Earth in 1973. He has served on advisory panels
for the former Congressional Office of Technology Assessment
and for the National Academy of Sciences as well as for the
National Science Foundation. Mr. Harding also served on the
advisory panel for the Keystone Center’s Nuclear Power
Joint Fact Finding report released in 2007. He holds a degree
in economics from Bowdoin Collage in Maine and an MBA from
U.C. Berkeley.
