Professor Levine is an internationally renowned
expert in obesity. His research has focused on understanding
NEAT, obesity and body weight regulation. He has published
articles in the most prestigious scientific journals, five
articles in Science and others in Nature, the New England
Journal of Medicine and the Lancet. Dr Levine lectures around
the world and is a senior scientific advisor to the US government,
United Nations and the Government of the Peoples Republic
of China as well as throughout Africa and in Jamaica. He
is a designated ‘Expert’ to the United Nations,
NIH and National Science Foundation. Professor Levine is
also an invitee to the Presidents Panel on Cancer. He has
received over 30 national and international awards in science
include the Judson Daland prize from the American Philosophical
Society. He holds four R01 National Institute of Health (NIH)
grants, and 18 additional federal grants. His walking desk
won the invention of the future from NASA and is now a Product
by Steelcase. His book NEAT will be published late next year.
