Dr.
Shermer is the Executive Director of the Skeptics Society and
the Founding Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Skeptic
magazine.
In addition, Dr. Shermer hosts the Skeptics Distinguished Lecture
Series at the California Institute of Technology. He is also
a contributing editor and monthly columnist at Scientific
American, as well as the science correspondent for KPCC,
an NPR affiliate in Los Angeles. Since founding the Skeptics
Society, Dr. Shermer has appeared on many television shows—including
20/20, Dateline, and Charlie Rose—as a skeptic of extraordinary
claims. He has also been featured in documentaries aired on
PBS, Discovery, and The Learning Channel, among others.
