May 16, 2014
This year’s 16th Annual Discovery Ball on Friday, May 16, 2014 will transport guests to an ancient city at the height of the Roman Empire. Our distinguished co-chairs Anne Shen Smith, outgoing Chairman and CEO of Southern California Gas Company and Bob Carter, Senior Vice President – Automotive Operations of Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A., Inc. and the Discovery Ball Committee invite you to join us at the gala featuring the west coast premiere of Pompeii: The Exhibition.
The theme and décor of the 16th Annual Discovery Ball gala will immerse guests in the gardens and villas of Pompeii to experience a sumptuous cocktail reception and a lavish Italian feast, with dinner entertainment and live auction hosted by Southern California broadcasting icon Fritz Coleman, NBC4 weathercaster. The capstone of the evening will be the transformation of the Samuel Oschin Pavilion into an out-of-this-world night club with Space Shuttle Endeavour launching the festivities.
Tables seating 10 range from $10,000 to $50,000 and individual tickets are available in packages of two for $2,500. You can also support this year’s Discovery Ball by purchasing a raffle ticket for a chance to win an all-new Lexus RC F performance coupe.
